Hi Jan

Sure you can, as long as you don't ingest too much of the water! We would reccommend a good rinse off as well straight after you have been in it. Personally though, I would not put a toe in the dam!

It's obvious to me that the water is not drinkable having been there many times with friends/family.

Just curious if it's alright to swim/ski in it?

Regards.

Coal of Africa should be ashamed of themselves in using local pawns to smooth the way forward to achieve their aims. The weakness of the SA Government is clear as day. Their true colours are now showing clearly. They have no vision for what is important to SA. What a perfect opportunity and lever, to buy out the legislated 26% local BBBEE component if they get the go ahead to mine!!!

There is no desperate need to mine coal in the sensitive Limpopo valley, it can be mined elsewhere.,and on top of it, to use poor quality coal for a local power station is opportunistic in the wake of the poor vision of the government together with Eskom in not meeting identified future energy needs by other means than pumping out hundreds of tons of ash and pollutants in an already marginal landscape.

The company nor DMR has followed proper process in the full evaluation of cause and effect. They did not need to because it was already pre ordained!this is shameful.
What we are seeing is the tip of the iceberg, the difference being that the Vele mining operation WILL violate an extremely important (and UNESCO classified), hisorical archaeological and cultural landscape.
Ex SA government officials and political representatives that are on the lucrative payroll of Coal of Africa/ Vele should be ashamed of themselves.
